Description
This complete ready-to-install set combines a solid brass wall plate with a UL-listed GFCI tamper-resistant (TR) receptacle, providing both protection and a refined finish in a single solution. It is designed for areas where GFCI protection is required by code, ensuring safety while maintaining a consistent aesthetic.
Finished in premium solid brass, it seamlessly matches the rest of your hardware for a cohesive and elevated look across your space.
About Unlacquered Antique Brass: this is a handmade finish, made to order. Each piece is hand brushed, then oxidized by hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike and the brass keeps developing a natural patina over time. Current lead time for this finish: about 3 weeks of production before shipping.

Installation Guide

Brass plate, diamond cut dimmer knob, plus all required mounting hardware.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Turn Off the Power
Before you begin, switch off the power to the circuit at your home’s breaker panel or fuse box for safety.
Step 2: Remove the Old Cover Plate
Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws holding the existing cover plate. Remove it carefully and place it aside.
Step 3: Take Out the Old Switch
Unscrew the fasteners securing the old switch to the electrical box, then gently pull the switch outward.
Step 4: Disconnect the Wires
Carefully detach the wires from the old switch.
• If the wires are looped around screws, loosen the screws to release them.
• If the wires are pushed into holes at the back of the switch, you may need to cut and strip them using a wire stripper.
Step 5: Connect the Wires to the New Switch
Attach the wires to the new dimmer switch.
• If the switch uses screws, wrap the wires around them and tighten securely.
• If the switch has push in holes, insert the stripped wire ends into the openings.
Step 6: Secure the New Switch
Carefully place the wires back into the electrical box and fasten the new switch using the included screws.
Step 7: Attach the New Cover Plate
Position the new cover plate over the switch and secure it in place with the screws.
Step 8: Turn the Power Back On
Once everything is installed, restore power at the breaker panel or fuse box.
Step 9: Test Your New Switch
Turn the dimmer knob to confirm everything is working correctly. If installed properly, your lights should brighten and dim smoothly.
If anything seems unclear or does not feel right during installation, contact a licensed electrician. Safety should always come first.

How ours compares
| Studio Timeless | Plated designer outlets | Standard plastic outlets | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Material | Solid brass all the way through | Plating over zinc, steel or plastic | Plastic |
| The plate | One smooth, seamless surface | A separate frame or second plate around the outlet | Separate cover and receptacle |
| Plastic you see | Only the receptacle face, as code requires | Often a frame around the outlet | All of it |
| Weight | About 210 g (7.4 oz) | Lighter | Featherweight |
| The feel | Cool, dense, solid | Softer, lighter action | Hollow |
| Over the years | Ages beautifully, nothing to peel | Plating can wear through | Yellows and scratches |
| Made | Finished by hand | Mass produced | Mass produced |
How it's made
Made by hand, one piece at a time
Each plate is cut from solid brass and the face is solid brass too. There is no plastic frame and no second face plate: the plate is one plain, smooth piece, so your wall reads as a single detail rather than a gadget.
Every piece is then finished by hand, brushed, aged or polished one at a time, and checked before it leaves the workshop. That is why no two plates are exactly alike, and why it feels so different the first time you plug something in.
